The BHS Junior class is selling raffle tickets for a Hunting Basket ($400 value). The basket includes a RTIC 32 qt cooler, 2 folding hunting chairs, a game camera, hunting accessories and camp snacks. The cost is $10.00 per ticket and may be purchased from a Junior Class member or Mrs. Goodwin from October 1st through October 11th and the basket winner will be drawn on Friday October 18th.

Everyone meet Sparkle! She is preschools adopted calf for the school year. Mrs. Lanham enrolled her preschool class in the Adopt-A-Calf program and this program allows them to name their calf and receive updates from the farmer. She is a Holstein calf and lives on the Schoen Dairy Farm located in Oak Ridge, Missouri. This week they were selected as winners by the farmer for a special visit here at school. Preschool learned all about dairy cows and received special treats for their award.

2nd grade worked on fluency reading with partners.
We are also learning the 4 types of sentences. They had to write Declarative and Interrogative sentences using their high frequency words. Next week we will be focusing on Exclamatory and Imperative sentences.
High school boys had a tough one at Steelville. It was a very hot day to run this difficult track. Payden was only 4 away from medaling at 24 and Cole came in 69th out of 76 boys.

This is the biggest meet the kids will run in and definitely the hardest. There was 172 boys and 144 girls running. Kasen came in 32nd, Josey 36th, and Katie 88th. Way to go Eagles!
