Students lined the sidewalk this morning to wish Ms Maxine Lough a very happy 102nd birthday!! They made cards and sang her Happy Birthday to celebrate Bunker's oldest citizen.
Bunker R-3 School District has an opening for an Elementary Aide for the 2024-2025 school year. Applications can be downloaded from the district’s website or picked up from the superintendent’s office. 1. The HS Volleyball Team will travel to AV on Thursday, August 29th at 5:30 for a Jamboree. The bus will leave at 4:00.
2. The XC Teams will travel to Peck Ranch on Wednesday, September 4th at 2:00. The bus will leave at 12:30.
3. Activity Days will start next week during lunch. All agendas are due by FRIDAY! Tuesday, September 3rd - Class Meeting. Wednesday, September 4th – FBLA. Thursday, September 5th JH/ HS Beta. Friday, September 6th STUCO. Tuesday, September 10th- Pep Club.
4. Picture Day will be September 4th. This will be individual pictures &Fall Sports- JH Basketball, XC, & HS Volleyball, HS Baseball. Packets will be available later.
5. Senior Banner Pictures will be taken Thursday, September 5th during 6th hour.
6. If you are interested in JH Cheerleading you must have a current physical and sign up in the office by Friday, August 30th.
7. Students Tardies started this week. You need to make sure you get to school and class on time.
8. The following students need to bring back the following enrollment papers: Emma, Bryan Brawley, Jaslynn, Reldon, Owen Gant, Addisyn Grandstaff, Gavin, & Lilly Hackworth. Reminder if you do not have certain forms turned in you will not be able to participate in extracurricular activities.

Four Rivers will be bringing their Smile Bus (mobile dental unit) to school September 17th-19th. They will be offering dental services such as; examinations, cleanings, X-Ray, fillings, extractions, and some crowns. This service is available for all students. Packets were sent out yesterday to all elementary students. Packets for high school students are available in the high school office. Please return completed packets by September 6th.
4th grade used trial and error to see who could build the tallest spaghetti noodle and marshmallow tower.

2nd grade made "Fluffadoos" in science today. They got to pretend to be an animal, the Fluffadoo, to see how they can help seeds disperse. We used Pom-poms for the first test and beans for the 2nd test. They placed the "seeds" on top of the Fluffadoo and hopped to see how far they could go before the seeds fell off. They learned that seeds with textures can go further than smooth seeds.
2nd grade started learning how to write cursive A's today.

AV students will leave at 7:25 in the morning. The cafeteria will have a grab and go breakfast for students attending AV.
Just a reminder that TOMORROW is the first day of school!!! Breakfast is from 7:25-7:45. Our day will begin at 7:45. Elementary parent pick-up students will be dismissed at 3:21 and high school parent pick- up students will be dismissed at 3:26. We are excited to see everyone.
